MNSearch Summit Location – University of St. Thomas
The 2014 MnSearch Summit will be held at the University of St. Thomas, 1000 Lasalle Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55403. There are plenty of parking options surrounding the university. There is a limited number of free on-street parking options available; please pay close attention to posted signs. The City of Minneapolis Parking Ramp at 11th Street & Harmon Place allows for hourly parking for visitors ($8.50/day). The entrance and exit to the ramp is on 11th Street just west of Harmon Place.
Hotel
Our official MnSearch Summit hotel is The Marquette Hotel just 3 short blocks from the University of St. Thomas (where the Summit is held). The discounted rate ($151/night) will be available until June 5th or until the group block is sold-out, whichever comes first.
On the day of the Summit you’ll be able to enjoy the short walk in the 3rd healthiest state in the country to the University of St. Thomas. And in case it snows (you just never know in Minnesota) you can take the Skyway all the way to the venue. But if the smell of fresh air and/or exercise doesn’t agree with you, plenty of taxi services are available.
Transportation to Downtown Minneapolis
Are you flying in or visiting for the first time? You’ll have a few options for getting downtown for to your hotel and the Summit location. First, the Metro Transit Light Rail is available from the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport (MSP) and perhaps the simplest and least expensive option. The drop off location you would want in downtown Minneapolis is at Marquette and 5th Street, just two blocks away from the hotel or a 10 minute walk to the University of St. Thomas.
You can also find plenty of taxis ready to take you into downtown Minneapolis; after visiting the Mall of America of course, just minutes away from the airport and even connected to the Light Rail.
